A Day Exploring Machu Picchu
Wow. What a view! I cannot believe I was seeing this wonder in real life, and not on a screen! We were on a whistle stop tour through Peru’s many attractions, with our cruise ship waiting for us at the port in Lima. Despite the fact that we were a little tight on time, it didn’t dampen the grandeur and complex majesty of Machu Picchu’s incredible treasures. Whilst exploring the twists and turns through the cobbled structures, I could only dream of how Hiram Bingham must have felt when he discovered indigenous locals living among the rainforest clad and overgrown ruins.
One of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. I enjoyed every second.
