Tastes and Sights of Lisbon

Written on Friday, July 5, 2019 by

Our tour with local historian and keen foodie guide from Context Tours was great, a quirky and different way to be introduced to Lisbon.  We visited a local bakery to see Portuguese Tarts being made and sample some of course.  Tasted the sweet wine, Moscato, and paired it with cheese which was a delight.  We also tasted sardines which was surprisingly enjoyable.  We visited local markets and the oldest coffee shop in Lisbon.  While enjoying the food and wine we were still seeing points of interest in Lisbon and learning of the local history which largely related to the local dishes. Lots of fun and laughs!
