Sunny Day in Historic Madrid
After a morning spent taking in the atmosphere and riding bicycles around Madrid’s historic centre, we stopped to snap a quick photo in front of the beautiful Puerta de Alcalá. A stone’s throw away from here is the Palacio de Cristal– a magnificent structure of glass and complex metalwork that caught the afternoon sun perfectly and made for some great photos. By the lake in the palace grounds we saw locals feeding the ducks, fish and even turtles living in its tranquil waters. We decided to grab an ice cream, sit on the banks and soak up the gorgeous rays.
