Las Vegas Firing Range
Wanting to do something a little different, I headed away from the glitz of the strip and decided to try my hand at shooting at the Las Vegas Firing Range. Feeling a bit like a renegade cop in a bad movie, I was able to choose my weapon (a modest handgun for my first time!) and received careful instruction and safety briefings before I was let loose on the range.
It is quite a strange thrill to fire a real gun and the weight and power of the recoil should not be underestimated! After a few shots I found my groove and had great fun ‘busting a cap’ in my silhouetted target! For those of you more familiar with guns, the range offers the opportunity to fire everything from Colt Magnums to Uzi’s to AK47’s and even sniper rifles! Only in America!
