Scottish Highlands Day Tour
Driving through the hazy green moors of Scotland was a dream come true. To be guided through such history and scenery was fantastic. Driving past old abandoned huts and large cattle farms, it was easy to picture how the locals, centuries ago, would have lived off the land. The highlight was driving through Glencoe – right in the heart of the highlands, with hairy cows and deer roaming the green and grey landscape. We were able to stop to take in the vast and hulking crags, with many photo opportunities. The weather didn’t hold us back – it was drizzly and windy, however instead of dampening our spirits, the weather enhanced the experience, as the mist surrounding the cliffs, the chilling wind and the rushing rivers made Glencoe feel alive.
