Beautiful Doors Of Salamanca
Famed to be host of the purest form of spoken Spanish, a thriving student population and renowned for its ornate sandstone carvings, the city of Salamanca in north west Spain was definitely going to be on my European itinerary. This beautiful door was one of many examples of the impressive architecture on offer and the intricacy and detail of some of the workmanship was simply mind blowing. The thing I liked most about Salamanca was its authenticity, there was rarely another tourist in sight and every twist and turn seemed to lead to another local eatery or place to grab a drink.
