Champagne Breakfast on the Rocky Mountaineer

Written on Friday, December 1, 2017 by

The Rocky Mountain railroad is quite possibly one of the best journeys to be had by train anywhere on the planet. Every bend of the track reveals stunning mountain vistas, soaring snow-clad peaks and thick green alpine forests. Due to the time of year it was also possible to view bears, elk, moose and muskrats in their rugged wilderness habitat. All of this was enjoyed from the pampered extravagance of our ‘Gold Leaf’ class cabin. I boarded the train early in the morning, quenching my thirst with some complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice, and as the day progressed, that orange juice turned into Baileys over ice and Anzac biscuits. Heaven!
