I have spent the last 13 years designing dream holidays to some of the world’s most spectacular destinations, some personal favourites being countless itineraries around the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Africa, and South America. The travel industry has led to some of my own most memorable holidays and to destinations I never thought I would be fortunate to visit. My highlights so far have been travelling with a small group tour around Kenya, my time spent in Peru, cruising the Mediterranean and snorkelling in the Maldives.
One of my first travel memories as a child was seeing photos of Machu Picchu and being in awe of this amazing lost world high above the clouds. I thought it must be one of the most remote places on this earth, and that explorers would have to trek for days in order to reach the ruins, and I was so sad that I would never be able to see this for myself as I was not an explorer or an adventurer. Then I grew up and began my career in the travel industry so that I could become an explorer, in my own way. I love the feeling of adventure every time you wake up in a new city, not knowing what you are going to see or experience next. Being able to have a real life history lesson of the city I’m in and being able to make new friends from all around the world.
Who doesn’t love to talk about travel! I love being able to reminisce past holidays and memories with clients, and being able to experience and learn about a new destination through a clients itinerary and being here throughout the whole experience with them. It is so rewarding to see our clients return home from these amazing holidays we have planned with a huge smile on their face and hear about the wonderful experiences they had.
“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you.” — Anthony Bourdain
