1976, my passion for travel started during a 3-month family journey through the UK and Europe. Quite young to remember all the details, the stories shared have kept the memories vivid. The excitement of revisiting these places, fuels my desire to explore even more of this world. Spending your days planning and organising customers travel journeys doesn’t feel like a job. The joy is hearing their stories and knowing you helped create memories they’ll treasure forever.

Why I Travel

When I reflect on my travels even from an early age, I can always remember the little life changing moments on each trip. Meeting people from foreign lands; so different to what I have known, understanding who they are, their history, their way of life and being able to bring a little of this back from each trip. The diversity: the wildlife, the landscapes, the big cities, the historical towns, the beaches, the national parks, there is so much to take in and be in awe of. The excitement of the first glimpse of something I have only seen in photos or on the screen. The beautiful friends I have made along the way, treasured memories and experiences that have shaped and changed my life forever. The sense of freedom, the ability to stop, appreciate and be grateful, to reset and learn a little more about yourself.

Emma’s travel advice…

  • Experience life like a local. We’ve all seen the movies and TV shows and thought how fun it would be to live in that neighborhood, cycle through those vineyards or drink each day in the local bar. The options of staying in an apartment, house or villa are so affordable and lets you experience what locals do every day.
  • Invest a little in knowledge, we often feel we can see a city ourselves. The real learning comes from local guides. Walking tours, cycling tours, food tours, bus tours, they all have one thing in common – a local person, usually very passionate who can educate you, unlock hidden secrets and introduce you to parts of the city you would never find on your own.
  • Take up golf, some of the most beautiful scenery around the world can be seen walking around a golf course. Great way to work off a few of those holiday kilos too.

Favourite travel quote

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.’
