The Experience

A Taste of Bordeaux voyage aboard AmaDolce feels both immersive and deeply comfortable.

Days are spent exploring grand wine estates, cobbled medieval villages, lively local markets and vineyard trails with expert local guides who know the Bordeaux region intimately. With up to six excursion choices each day, from gentle market strolls to active vineyard cycling, the pace is entirely your own.

Evenings return you to the warmth of the ship, where regionally inspired dining, generous pours of Bordeaux wine and relaxed onboard hospitality bring each day to a calm and convivial close.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Bordeaux Board AmaDolce in Bordeaux and settle into life on board before departing this evening.

Day 2 – Libourne Arrive in Libourne, gateway to Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. Choose from a guided tour of Saint-Émilion's UNESCO-listed medieval village with Grand Cru Classé wine tasting or an active bike tour through the vineyard countryside.

Day 3 – Libourne A second day in the Libourne region. Stroll a lively bastide town market, visit an ancient watermill for a traditional breadmaking workshop, or hike through working vineyards at Château Boutinet with wine and tapas along the way.

Day 4 – Blaye & Bourg Visit Blaye's 17th-century UNESCO-listed citadel, then choose a guided bike ride along the Captain's Road to Bourg or explore Bourg's Roman-era streets on foot. This evening, an exclusive wine festival with live French music celebrates the wines of Côtes de Bourg with local producers.

Day 5 – Pauillac Cruise into the heart of the Médoc. Pass the great estates of Château Latour, Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild, then choose a Grand Cru tasting at Château Gruaud Larose or Léoville Poyferré, or hike through the Margaux vineyards with local speciality tastings.

Day 6 – Cadillac Visit the magnificently preserved medieval fortress of Château Roquetaillade alongside the elegant town of Cadillac, or take a leisurely bike ride through the surrounding countryside.

Day 7 – Bordeaux Return to the city itself. Choose from a guided UNESCO city tour with market tasting, the world-renowned Cité du Vin wine museum, a scenic waterfront bike tour, or the extraordinary Bassins des Lumières digital art experience.

Day 8 – Bordeaux Disembark in Bordeaux after a voyage through the very best of France's wine country.
